Es ist sehr gut in organischen L\u00f6sungsmitteln l\u00f6slich.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bei der Polystyrolherstellung wird Styrol polymerisiert, um ein starres thermoplastisches Polymer zu erhalten, das in einer Vielzahl von Produkten wie Verpackungen, Einwegbechern und Spielzeug eingesetzt wird. Styrol wird auch bei der Herstellung von synthetischem Kautschuk verwendet, der in verschiedenen Anwendungen wie Reifen, Schl\u00e4uchen und Dichtungen zum Einsatz kommt.<br \/>Neben seiner Verwendung in der Polymerproduktion wird Styrol auch zur Herstellung von Harzen, wie beispielsweise unges\u00e4ttigten Polyesterharzen, eingesetzt, die wiederum in der Produktion von glasfaserverst\u00e4rkten Kunststoffen Verwendung finden.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Styrol ist ein vielseitiges Monomer mit sehr unterschiedlichen Anwendungsgebieten. Seine F\u00e4higkeit zur Polymerisation und zur Bildung starrer thermoplastischer Polymere macht es zu einem unverzichtbaren Bestandteil vieler Konsum- und Industrieprodukte.
